Table names for a fall wedding?
Posted by admin | Under Fall Wedding Centerpieces Monday Jun 14, 2010I just saw that alot of you gave awsome ideas to "ben’s girl" and thought that you could help me with mine. I need about 28 ideas though. I am giving tree seedlings as favors so i thought about maybe naming each table a differant kind of tree or go with differant Fall things such as ghourds, etc…. Any ideas? For centerpieces, i have glass vases with candles and around that i am putting craft straw and was going to put leaves, pinecones, indian corn, and so on. Any cool thoughts??Thanks
I marry my sweetie October 20th!!!
I like tree names and its easy to come up with 28–drive through a few neighborhoods as a lot of those name every street after a tree.
Magnolia, Elm, Maple, Ash, Beech, Birch, Weeping Willow, Cherry, Cypress, Pear, Hickory, Cottonwood, Chestnut, Fir, Mimosa Tree, Poplar, Oak, Spruce, Pine, Sweetgum, Dogwood.
Thats about 20 right there. I’d stay away from naming a table White Oak and another one Water Oak and White Oak. But here is a site to look at for names.

how about give picture frames shaped like leaves, i think i have seen them on those sights that sell the picture frame favors you can use them as your place cards for the tables. Use some leaves as confetti on your tables.

Hi
I considered tree names for my fall wedding but decided on something else in the end.
Here is the list I had:
willow, chinaberry, cottonwood,cypress, oak, alder,cherry
elm, ash, beech, birch, cedar, crabapple, hawthorn,
hickory, horsechestnut, juniper, larch, palm, camelia,
maple, pine, poplar, redbud, silverbell, spruce, tupelo
and blackhaw.
I was considering being really clever and having the latin term instead of the common name – looks very classy
Hope this helps. Good luck on your day. x

My reception is at a Hotel and in the banquet room there’s columns so I’m having autumn leaf garland and little lights wrapped around them. To help complete the treeish fall look!
I also, bought pumpkin candles as favors from

If you need any more ideas you can email me erink1799@yahoo.com
Make sure you put this question as your subject
Good Luck!

I know that you said that you are giving tree seedlings as favors, but what about naming each table after a flower that is popular in the fall or blooms in the fall. It sounds like you are keeping somewhat of a nature them and it would probably work out.
Good luck!

You and your sweetie should think about your favourite things about fall and name your tables with them. Maybe things like "Foliage", "Apple Picking", "Cinnamon Sticks", "Sun Flower Seeds", "Mums", "Leaf Stamps", "HayRides", "Scarecrows", "Maple Pecan Pie", "Pinecones", "Acorns", or "Pumpkin Patch". Brain storm and have fun with it! Maybe you could also think of reasons why you chose to have your wedding in the fall to begin with. It’s such a beautiful season! If you need help with ideas, you can do a search on fall activities as well. I think your idea of fall things is a great one!!!!

instead of tree names, do tree pictures, or fall related pictures, mums, pumpkins…it will make it more original

i fully support that idea! many of the suggestions already given are great. one hint though…make sure to alphabatize or have some sort of system when assigning table names. Guests can easily find "Table 14" in any room, but where the heck is "Pumpkin Spice" among "Falling Leaves" and "Apple Cider"??? At the table where your guests get their seating assigments frame a LARGE piece of paper that will be clearly seen that explains how your tables are ordered (alphabetically or whatever). I promise your guests will be grateful!!! (i’m getting married oct. 13!! CONGRATS!!!)
