Affordable wedding flower options?
I’m on a tight budget, and I’m trying to figure out how to cut some corners with the flowers. So far, I’ve decided that I’m only going to have boutineers, a bridal bouquet, and bridesmaids bouquets.

If I made my own, how long before the wedding could I do it? And how would I keep them fresh?

Does anyone have any super cheap flower ideas (for real flowers, not silk)?

they should use whatever you tell them to. ask for a list of available flowers so you can choose what you want. matching the bouquets isn’t that important, the guests won’t really pick up on that kind of thing and it won’t matter for your photos.

what I did was put an empty vase on my sweetheart table and where each of my attendants were sitting. that way they could put their bouquet in the vase to stand up as part of the centerpiece during the reception. I always hated laying a bouquet on its side on the table during dinner when I was a bridesmaid!

You need to wait on your bouquet until a week before the wedding anyway. 1 or 2 weeks before your wedding call the Inn and ask the people that do the weddings what they plan on using.
They won’t know til then. And you shouldn’t get your bouquet til no more than a week before the wedding. Otherwise it will wilt.

First of all, you have to have pictures. Customers want to see what kind of work that your shop is capable of doing.

Only emphasize the best of the best that you have. Our shop used a digital camera and printer to create a brochure for new brides. We then placed an ad in our local traders guide, newspaper, and radio station asking the bride to stop by the shop for a complimentary rose. We gave them the brochure and were able to have some 1 on 1 time with them.

We also gave brides who participated in this way, a 5% discount on their wedding.

Word of mouth is by far the best way to get wedding work….so do more than you are asked to do, price your wedding competitively and you will be busier than you ever thought might be possible.

Vistaprint.com is a great place to get some low cost brochures or flyers made up. They have templates but you can upload your own photos of your arrangements. You can distribute those yourself or have them put into the local newspaper. Do you have a website?

The best way on a budget is to join your Chamber of Commerce. In most cases, your membership gives you a monthly ad in the news letters/ catalogs they send out. You can also print flyer’s from your PC, you can save in the long run doing them yourself. Save your old ink cartridges, take them to Office Max and get free paper for doing so, and make more flyer’s. You can also get ink cartridges on E-bay really really cheap…. Best of Luck….

take pictures of your arrangements, and have them blown up for displays in your windows, or for flyers to give each customer when visiting your shop, or make them binder size and [with plastic sheet protectors] for customers to look at for ideas...the more pictures the better. [ a good way to set up for picture to be taken is to use a black velvet clothe or another color will be nice.

Help with unique wedding theme?
My fiance and I are going with a vintage study(office)/ school theme for our wedding and would like to get some ideas for it.
