Blue and Purple Wedding Dress and Centerpiece HELP?

Tuesday Jul 20, 2010

Blue is the main color and purple is the accent color.
1) The ceremony will be deemed with blue and purple lighting with blue and purple flowers but I am wearing a A-line white dress(building it from the fabric up) but I think I should have some blue somewhere, what do you think?

2) Any ideas for a center piece I DONT want to spend like $270,000 on purple and blue roses balls(planners idea) that will die but I know I am getting real amethyst gems to hang from the center pieces that is the only bling aside from the cake monogram toppers and bouquets too much bling is getting played out I have seen it on every episode of Platinum weddings.
Ideas on centerpieces please?

3) The bridesmaid dresses are blue but do you think they should have amethyst jewelry since the wedding colors are blue and purple?

The budget is 2 million SERIOUSLY (really 1.3M is for the wedding, the rest will be spent on jewelry, dresses, tuxedos, gifts for wedding party)
We do have a planner that’s why I was asking about the centerpieces because she says I can have blue and purple rose balls with a long skinny vase with gems hanging but the flowers alone would cost me $270K which is a total waist because flowers die.

Two Million Dollars on a wedding. Seven Hundred Thousand of which is just for jewelry, clothes and gifts??? This is very hard to believe. Anyone with that kind of money would seriously have a wedding planner or five and would not be on Yahoo Answers asking strangers for advise.

Putting my skepticism aside….yes, contact the family jeweler for the Amethyst jewelry for the bride maids

Contact the family floral designer for advise on the floral arrangement.

Yes, wear some blue sapphires or blue topaz for a hint of blue for you. Or, if it fits into your dress, how about a blue bow at the back of your waist?

Marie:

Sounds like you have enough color going on do not put the color onto your dress too. OVERKILL! Hydrangas would be nice in blue and they’re not expensive like roses.
