I have seen a few pics on the net of using a pretty planter with flowers for table centrepiece so that guests can take them away or they can be re-used.
My colours are blue and yellow, can i buy these ready made or do i have to grow them from seed ?any ideas on how to do this and which flowers to use? (wedding in June)
I would be hesitant to try and grow my own centerpieces
Growing plants is an unpredictable proposition and something as important as your wedding should be perfect.
Look around at a garden center and decide on flowers that would look nice as your centerpieces.
Without knowing where you are located it is difficult to say what flowers would be in season in June where you are.
Suggestions:
Gerbera Daisies ( yellow )
Pansies ( they are available in both yellow and blue and are durable )

My family and I are planning on making my own flower centerpieces for my wedding. Local flower growers charge about $1.25 per stem of rose or Gerbera daisy. I don’t have a resale license so I wont be able to purchase wholesale. Does anybody know if its worth my hour and a half drive?
Yes you can buy flowers there.

Our wedding is in a rustic lodge setting and we are trying to keep with that theme. We plan on using a non-flower centerpiece, probably using some kind of branch/stick. One problem we are have is a container to put these in. Also would be open to any other ideas for centerpieces going along with this theme.
Go to Martha.Stewart.com and put in key word "centerpieces" and see what comes up. On her show she had some really good centerpiece ideas for just such a theme (rustic, outdoorsy) but I can’t remember what they were in, I think there were some pussy willows, and some branches that they spray painted for contrast coloring, but I don’t remember the container they were in. Good luck and God Bless your marriage.
