ANYONE WHO CAN HELp????????????????????

Friday Feb 4, 2011

hi there! i have a small florist shop and i wish to do some marketting for my special wedding floral arrangements as well as all occasion bouquets of fresh and dried flowers …my budget is low . can anyone guide me so as to how do i go about it??

First of all, you have to have pictures. Customers want to see what kind of work that your shop is capable of doing.

Only emphasize the best of the best that you have. Our shop used a digital camera and printer to create a brochure for new brides. We then placed an ad in our local traders guide, newspaper, and radio station asking the bride to stop by the shop for a complimentary rose. We gave them the brochure and were able to have some 1 on 1 time with them.

We also gave brides who participated in this way, a 5% discount on their wedding.

Word of mouth is by far the best way to get wedding work….so do more than you are asked to do, price your wedding competitively and you will be busier than you ever thought might be possible.

How can I bring a plant if I’m moving from the UK to the USA?

Thursday Jan 27, 2011

I have an ivy plant that grew from a cutting in a floral arrangement from my wedding. It is now flourishing and lovely, free of pests and grown indoors. I’m wondering if there’s any way of bringing this very special plant with me through an international move from London to California. Any suggestions or advice?

Although as suggested there is a route through the importation process, I believe that it would be very difficult if not impossible to get approval for this single plant, if it is not a native plant to north america, then this would be a major stumbling block.

I need some ideas for cheap but not tacky reception centerpieces for my wedding!?

Sunday Jan 16, 2011

I don’t like the fish in a bowl on the tables which I feel has been super popular over the past few years and I really don’t want floral arrangements. Of course, we are on a strict budget! Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks in advance!
Our wedding is 2-12-11 and our color scheme is Eggplant (purple), black and silver.

You could definitely make beautiful centerpieces without spending a fortune. Check out craigslist and BravoBride.com for used wedding decorations. Ostrich feathers in vases with black, silver or purple filler may be your best best if you don’t want to use flowers. Here are some ideas I found on BravoBride.
