As we are paying for our wedding ourselves, we are having the reception catered at a local restaurant. The restaurant specializes in steaks and bbq (it’s upscale bbq lol). We want to create a relaxed atmosphere…but tasteful and elegant. The reception room is very nice but will need some ideas…their only table cloths are black or red (not our wedding colors), the carpet is multi-colored burgundy, blues…all sorts. Table overlays perhaps?…but will have to go over the black…or rent table cloths and overlays…but may clash with carpet. I’m not a fan of balloons or red and black weddings…but we have to work with the venue we have. =\ The wedding will take place in August…centerpiece ideas anyone? i’m fond of white or cream flowers in clear vases with candles around. Not sure what’s worth the money…should I work with the black table cloths…or rent some? or just go with an entirely new color palette for the reception versus the wedding? feel free to chime in, post links…etc. Thanks!
Gosh, stop over complicating it. No one is going to remember table cloths they will remember you and you fiance getting married. I don’t know why people worry about little things like that? Your marrying someone you love be concerned with them instead of the table cloths. All people are going to do is wipe their face on them? Why put that much effort into a cleaning utensil? That is like worrying about painting pictures or picking colors of toilet paper.

Does anyone know what kind of flowers Springside Inn, Auburn NY use for their August weddings?
Posted by admin | Under Centerpieces For Weddings Monday Feb 7, 2011I’m having my wedding there in August and would just like an idea of what flowers they use for the centerpieces. I was told whatever is in season. How can I match my bouquets if I don’t know what kind they’ll be using. Help! ![]()
they should use whatever you tell them to. ask for a list of available flowers so you can choose what you want. matching the bouquets isn’t that important, the guests won’t really pick up on that kind of thing and it won’t matter for your photos.
what I did was put an empty vase on my sweetheart table and where each of my attendants were sitting. that way they could put their bouquet in the vase to stand up as part of the centerpiece during the reception. I always hated laying a bouquet on its side on the table during dinner when I was a bridesmaid!
