Beach Wedding Ideas Please!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Posted by admin | Under Beach Wedding Ideas Sunday Feb 28, 2010Okay so i’m 14 years old and my dad is getting remarried in July 5th on a private beach.
I am the Maid Of Honor and need some ideas.
There will be a 30 person guest list.
private beach.
fireworks are already ordered.
and the colors are royal blue and white.
I am open to any suggestions. Thanks
Also, we are trying to go for a semi-formal attire. What should my dad, brother, and step-brother wear.
Also, shoes for myself and the bride
this is the link to the dresses we are probably wearing but in blue and white

I am getting married June and with it being July it could work as well
I am having the guys wear white tuxedos with the color of the girls dresses as their tie, vest
and the groom wear a white tux and silver tie, vest
gorgeous!
flowers could be red and white roses with some green filler
or red carnations tipped with white
Men can wear shorts and floral or Hawaiian shirts and women can wear anything that has flowery prints on it and wear flowers in their hair. Wear flip-flops.

you will probably end up removing your shoes during the reception party, when the dancing begins….and hello….you are on a beach…so you can wear elegant sandals or go barefoot. Flowers everywhere…tropical kinds…and maybe you and the bridesmaids could wear them in your hair…..definately the guys should wear white pants……with probably a decent/ formal tropical shirt. Good luck and Have fun. ( :

For the guys i’d say white pants and a blue or white short sleeve shirt, and have everyone barefeet. Get a gorgeous Paua shell for the ring and have shells as part of the bouquet. Outline an aisle with collected shells. And give out little paper umbrellas as wedding favors at the ceremony so people have shade, or fans. And then have a BBQ reception with fresh fish and seafood if the budget can handle it and you guys like that kinda thing!
Hope this helps!
This is a Paua incase you’re not sure

Flip flops for everyone, dad and party in hawaiian shirts (or ones like charlie on two and half men wears.), shorts.

For semi-formal attire I’d stay away from shorts. Linen suits or linen slacks and shirts would be formal enough yet cool.
The dresses you selected are a nice style but the fabric will be too warm. You need something that breathes like cotton or linen. There are so many bridal beach sandals on line you;re sure to fine a style that suits whatever dresses you select. Try to get some help from some older family members.

It’s kind of hard to do a semi-formal beach wedding. For one, any shoes that aren’t flip-flops will probably be filled with sand. So a suggestion would be for them to wear sandals. You won’t want to wear heels, it will be harder to walk. The guys should probably wear dark blue pants and white shirts (your dad) and khaki pants and royal blue shirts (your brother and step brother). Go with blue flowers for you, white flowers for her (gardenias are tropical flowers and very pretty). Blue seats and a white walkway. You might want to incorporate another color to add some variety like lavender, light yellow or pale blue. For the cake, since it’s a small wedding, I would only go for a two tier. Just make sure that each tier is big enough. For food go with casual, finger foods, vegetable and fruit trays, small sandwiches and hor’dourves. For drinks go with tropical, virgin daiquiri’s, margueritas, sangria and smoothies.

If you could find Hawaiian shirts to match the dresses that would look great. They could wear shorts or linen pants and even a white linen type shirt. My son wore linen pants and a white cotton summer short and a shell necklace,He did however have to search the web to find the right shirts. Just looh under beach wedding attire.I prefer sandles for all the girls.Sand is hard to walk in with anything else.
