My bridesmaids have dark purple dresses. I am trying to find the cheapest flowers. I thought I wanted dark purple and white carnations, but my florist told me that would end up looking like polka dots, does anyone have another suggestion?
***I should add that everything else is bright white (my dress, etc)
I would say white, deep purple, fuschia, deep blue even. maybe some yellow/orange, looks stunning. check out www.weddingsbysemia.com. They have so many pics you can really see colors. Awesome ideas…

Did you have different centerpieces for each table?
Posted by admin | Under Centerpieces For Weddings Sunday Feb 28, 2010The current winter issue of Instyle Weddings mentioned this as one wedding planner’s favorite thing to do. Has anyone actually done this and how does it look?
yes we did it for our wedding but we incorporated the same flowers just in different colors some were pink some were white but it turned out really pretty
DIY flower centerpieces HELP?
Posted by admin | Under Centerpieces For Weddings Sunday Feb 28, 2010ok, so i have 250 roses, rose petals, a ton of mason jars, fabric, and ribbon. please help me come up some creative ideas for centerpieces. be very detailed please.
i posted this in weddings but got no help
hopefully there are some more creative people over here…
Why not just add colouring to the water, place the roses (add some greenery and/or grasses). Tie matching or contrasting ribbon around the mason jar. Put the mason jar on a mirror and sprinkle rose petals on the mirror.
One tip, make sure the jars are well filled and that the flowers are not too tall for the jars.
Any ideas on how a dog should carry the rings for a simple beach wedding?
Posted by admin | Under Beach Wedding Ideas Sunday Feb 28, 2010My fiance and I are planning to have a simple beach wedding. We love dogs and want our dog to be the ring bearer. I’m just looking for ways she can carry the rings without using a pillow. I really want to put the rings in a ball or something. Has anyone heard or seen how a ball/stick/rope can be used for this purpose? Any other creative ideas? Thanks for your input!
I saw this once at a wedding and it was adorable! What they did was they found a really cute t-shirt/tank top (wedding colors, of course) and then they had the rings in a really tiny color coordinated bag that they stuck on the top side of t-shirt – it looked like it belonged and she just quickly sewed it on. The she wrapped the rings in plastic and stuck them in there. She said it took her 5 seconds and they were secure, because obviously the pup couldn’t get to them and they weren’t bothering her. Then her groom had a begging strip in his pocket if it was needed, but it wasn’t — the pup saw them and went bouncing down the beach really quickly. It was too cute! She made the tiny bag from a gift bag she saw – just cut and glued it.
